I am just another ordinary, simple mom, an engineer with a passion for life long learning and a journey towards self discovery. I am passionate about various things – weather its about photovoltaics, sustainability and green buildings or about a new recipe to satisfy my picky toddler. I have tried to enroll myself in a new dance class for the heck of trying it and even tried to learn a musical instrument when I have zero knowledge in musical notes! There are days when I want to escape from everything and sit on the beach starting at the ocean sunset and then there have been days when I want to party like a 16 year old!
I love exploring and trying something new always, in a way I can – cooking, a new personal style/outfit, pursue a new hobby, sketching and painting, photographing everyday objects to find beauty in them, scrap booking my baby’s yearbooks, blogging when I can and volunteering for causes I care about.
‘Being spiritual’ is something that I am trying to learn/adapt more into. Spirituality is a state of being for me. I am a born Hindu, but I consider myself more spiritual than religious. Now what that exactly means, is something I am trying to define everyday.
Its the daily ordinary things that I care about while trying to make them extra ordinary in the simplest way possible.
I have blogged for quite sometime now, on and off. When there is something on my mind that I want to write about, it just comes naturally. I try to write from my heart about topics and ideas that I really care about. From finding lunch and snack ideas for a toddler in the house, to DIY ideas a mom can do, to understanding spirituality from its core and our existence – I hope to write about things one by one, little by little. Opening up your heart and writing away they say is another way to feel ‘free’.
This blog is about my journey, a woman’s journey, a mom’s journey in finding meaning in those little things. If you feel connected to me via any posts I have written, please stop by to comment. I hope you like what you read and will continue to follow posts and comment as needed.
Before I sign off, what keeps me going?
And you? I would love to hear.
